Speaker Topics:

Rick Gardner – Ohio’s Floral Legacy: A Look at Ohio’s Natural History
Ohio has an amazing natural history that you can see within parks and preserves today, plus grow individual native plant species to your home and community gardens. Mr. Gardner will take the audience back through time highlighting Ohio’s unique habitats and plants plus what to plant to create your own Ohio native floral legacy.

Caroline Perruci – From Foraging Neanderthals to Modern Gardeners: Herbs Through the Ages
Archeology has revealed humanity’s use of herbs as far back as 60,000 years ago. This presentation will reflect on our interactions with herbs throughout human history, and share some practical knowledge of how we can grow and utilize some of these ancient herbs in our lives today.

Manon VanSchoyck – All My Garden Guests Are Wild
Mrs. Van of Ohio Nature Education as we discuss how to create a wildlife-friendly yard. We’ll discuss how to attract hummingbirds, butterflies, moths, and songbirds to your yard, no matter how large or small.
